Describing places.

Today I am going to explain what the topic “describing places” is about.

The word place is very common and can describe a building, an area, a town or a country:

Buenos Aires is a lovely place.

We found a really nice place to stay.

The town is full of interesting places.

Adjectives are often used when we describe places:

Florencia is beautiful but it is always crowded with tourists in the summer. (Full)

New York is very cosmopolitan city. (Full of people from different countries and cultures)

Vienna has lots of historical monuments. (Built a long time ago)

Amsterdam is a rarely lively place and nightlife is fantastic. (A lot of activities)
